Market Hill
The Woodbridge Market Hill is home to the iconic 16th century Shire Hall. Built by Thomas Seckford in or around 1575 it has had many uses over the centuries. As a Guild Hall, as a Court House and as a Grain market. Currently it is used for Civic Ceremonies such as Weddings, Partnership Ceremonies, Heritage and Community events.

Behind the Shire Hall on the Market Square you will find the three Market Hill Bee Cafes. These Bee Cafes are ably managed by a core group of adopters who incidentally grew the largest verbena this year (2025). Paul often uses these bee cafes to trial some of his up and coming ideas, so always worth a visit.
Maintenance equipment for these Bee Cafes is stored in ‘the cell’….tales are told about locking people up in these very spartan areas in years gone by. Look after our Bee Cafes or you too might find yourself locked up.
